Job Summary:

Marist College invites applications for two openings for an Assistant/Associate Professor of Accounting. These tenure track positions will involve teaching both undergraduate and graduate courses (including online courses) and maintaining a high level of professional/scholarly activity through research and service. Candidates must commit to excellence in teaching and research in accounting. Candidates with an interest in auditing and taxation are preferred, and candidates in all accounting areas will be considered.

Interested candidates may be considered for the vacant position of Director of Master of Science in Professional Accountancy (MSPAccy) program. The MSPAccy director carries a reduced teaching load and an additional stipend.

Minimum Qualifications:

Candidates must have an earned doctorate in accounting or a related field, or an anticipated completion date during the fall of 2021.

Essential Functions:

Candidates should be superior undergraduate and graduate teachers and commit to research. The candidate is expected to advise undergraduate majors, produce scholarship, and perform services for the college, school and department.

Preferred Qualifications:

Professional experience and certification (CPA, CMA, CIA, CISA, etc.) are also desirable.

The School of Management enrolls approximately 1,400 undergraduate students in its B.S. in Accounting, Dual Degree in Accounting, B.S. in Business Administration, and B.A. in Economics programs, and 400 master level students in its MBA, MPA, and Master of Science in Professional Accountancy programs.
