Job Summary:

Marist College Campus Ministry seeks a Roman Catholic priest for ministry with college students. On Campus Housing is provided for this position.

Minimum Qualifications:

Applicants must be in good standing, possess faculties and hold a Master’s of Divinity, and/or MA in Theology; experience working with a college age population is highly desired; ability and interest to work closely with individuals of other faith traditions.

Essential Functions:
  • Provides Catholic Liturgy and Reconciliation opportunities
  • Oversees the College Chapel and Chapel Ministers, events, etc.
  • Oversees Chapel music program
  • Provides Sacramental preparation program
  • Spiritual Guidance/Counseling
  • Oversees Chapel Wedding activities
  • Works closely with other Faith Traditions
  • Outreach in Residence Halls
  • Maintains a high degree of visibility on campus
  • Serves as a member of the Campus Ministry Team
  • Reports to the Director of Campus Ministry
  • Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor

The mission of the Department of Spiritual and Religious Life is drawn from its Judeo-Christian roots and the heritage of the Marist Brothers. It is to support the spiritual and religious development of students as they respond to God's presence in their lives.
