Head Men’s Ice Hockey Club Coach

Job Summary:

The Head Men’s Ice Hockey Club Coach will work under the direction of the Coordinator of Club Sports, Intramurals and Summer Camps and will be responsible for overseeing all operations of the Marist College Men’s Ice Hockey Club including tryouts, practices, scheduling, games, travel, events and oversee budget.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree is required, and 3-5 years of previous experience as a competitive ice hockey coach of a team is required. Must demonstrate ability to communicate effectively with other coaches, staff and student leadership. Valid state driver’s license is necessary.

Essential Functions:
  • Oversight of all aspects of the Men’s Ice Hockey Club team including:
    • Attending all practices and travel with team to all competitions, providing performance advice and leadership to club members
    • Assisting student leadership in making decisions about club operations
    • Supervising team tryouts
    • Communicating with the facility (Mid-Hudson Civic Center) regarding practice and home game scheduling
    • Other duties as assigned
Preferred Qualifications:

Experience as a competitive ice hockey coach of a college or club level team is preferred.
