Chief Learning Officer

 

Oak Point University seeks an innovative, dedicated, and dynamic Chief Learning Officer (CLO).

Reporting directly to the University President, Therese Scanlan, Ed.D., the CLO is responsible for the overall academic integrity of the University's degree-granting programs and certificates and holds the designation of Chief Academic Officer (CAO). The CLO creates an environment of academic excellence and innovation, pushing the boundaries of learning and education. The environment needs to ensure quality, inclusivity, fiscal solvency of academic programs, and superior stake-holder experiences throughout the academic enterprise. Oak Point University, formerly Resurrection University, provides world-class healthcare education in the heart of Chicago and online, preparing students for leadership in the nursing and healthcare industry for over 100 years.

 

The Chief Learning Officer will be responsible for the leadership of degree-granting programs and certificates to ensure academic excellence and innovation. In addition, the CLO will ensure the effectiveness of the curriculum through a robust system of assessment and continuous improvement related to degree-granting programs and certificates.

The ideal candidate should possess an earned Doctorate Degree in a relevant field of study; have extensive experience in education, including leading academic affairs, education, or learning enterprises; experience with the challenges in the higher education environment; have an excellent sense of humor and can embrace and manage change, ambiguity, and vagueness as we create the future of the University; knowledge of financial, legal, and management issues as these issues relate to higher education; demonstrated commitment to developing diverse learning and education approaches, modalities, and innovation for the University; ability to effectively interface with all levels of the organization and outside contacts, using a high degree of judgment and discretion; ability to handle confidential materials and information, maintaining credibility through business relationships; commitment to the University Mission and Goals.
