Job Summary

Student Involvement at Auburn University is seeking applications for the position of Coordinator, Student Programs (Service Programs). Student Involvement provides students an opportunity to engage with the co-curricular experience at Auburn University. Student Involvement is comprised of six portfolios, Emerge Student Leadership Programs, Service Programs, Student Governance, Student Organizations, Student Media, and Student Programming. Service Programs encompasses IMPACT, Alternative Student Breaks, The BIG Event, Auburn University Dance Marathon, and Beat Bama Food Drive while also supporting other service-based student organizations and initiatives.

Essential Functions

Responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
-Development, planning, coordination, and promotion of service programs on campus
-Increase student interaction, and support community partnerships
-Advising, implementing, and evaluating service programs
-Developing and coordinating effective educational outreach, marketing, and training strategies and materials
-Managing budgeting and training
-Collaborating with campus partners
-Advising students in leadership roles within service organizations
-Implementing programmatic assessment and risk management policies and procedures
-Managing the GivePulse community impact platform
-Other duties as assigned.

-Prior experience in student advising and leadership development of diverse student populations
-Program planning and event management experience
-Budgeting and fiscal management experience
-The desire to actively contribute to the field of student affairs through conference presentations, workshops, and publications
-Familiarity with Anthology’s Engage platforms
-Familiarity with GivePulse community impact platform
-Demonstrated leadership in initiating and implementing collaborative and educational programming among student groups and organizations
-Demonstrated commitment to proactive open and effective communication with students, faculty, and staff to build and maintain collaborative relationships
