The Department of Urology, College of Medicine, University of
Florida invites applications for a Research Assistant Scientist,
Non-tenure accruing faculty position with expertise in bladder and
kidney cancer research as well as in nephrolithiasis and kidney
stone pathogenesis. The applicant must have experience in
organotypic slice tissue cultures of human biopsies, mouse, and
porcine bladder, kidney, and lung; further experience in cell
separation, enzyme purification, and scanning electron microscopy.
The candidate should have a strong background in statistics and
knowledge in SAS and JMP software.
Minimum Requirements: Ph.D. or M.D./Ph.D.
Preferred candidate with several years research experience in
molecular immunology and chemistry with a focus on cancer innate
immune response and hyaluronan metabolism.
This position requires the development of funded research in
collaboration with other investigators with relevant expertise in
cancer immunology. Other preferred qualifications include:
