The School of Education is excited to invite candidates who will serve as a Research Assistant. This Research Assistant position will work on a team conducting a multi-year evaluation of the Richmond Teacher Residency ( RTR ) teacher residency preparation program. Responsibilities include working with a research/evaluation team to collect and analyze quantitative and qualitative data; implementing mixed methods research; and conducting literature reviews. The position also includes scholarly opportunities to attend national professional conferences, deliver conference presentations, and co-author manuscripts for publication. Required Qualifications
-Masters degree in education, research, or a related field;
-Experience designing, and conducting research and program evaluations in education or related fields;
-Experience collecting data in k12 settings;
-Experience with a variety of data analysis techniques using quantitative and qualitative data;
-Knowledge of SPSS and/or other advanced statistical software;
-Strong writing skills;
-Strong interpersonal skills;
-Strong computer technology skills;
-Demonstrated experience working in and fostering a diverse faculty, staff, and student environment or commitment to do so as an employee at VCU . Preferred Qualifications
-Experience working in K12 schools;
-Experience designing and conducting evaluations across various sectors, including government agencies, non-profits, PK12 Schools, and institutions of higher education;
