Applications are invited for appointment as Post-doctoral Fellow (several posts) in the Department of Chemistry (Ref.: 504743), to commence as soon as possible for one year, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance.

Applicants should possess a Ph.D. degree in Chemistry, Material Science or other relevant disciplines, and a strong research background in photophysics, design and synthesis of photoluminescent organometallic materials and its application to organic light-emitting diode (OLED). They should have a good publication track record and experience in conducting and managing scientific research as well as demonstrated expertise in research field relevant to the platform project mentioned below. They should also have excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Chinese, the ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team and external parties including academics and industry experts. Working under the supervision of Professor C.M. Che, the appointees will participate in an ITF project to develop and synthesize novel organometallic OLED emitters.

A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits. At current rates, salaries tax does not exceed 15% of gross income.
