Assistant Women's Lacrosse Coach

Lasell University invites applications for the part-time position of Assistant Women's Lacrosse Coach. Lasell University is a member of the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) and the NCAA Division III offering 17 varsity sports (8 for men and 9 for women). Lasell's 54-acre campus is located in Newton, MA, a community located ten miles west of Boston. The co-educational institution, offering professionally oriented baccalaureate and master's degree programs, has an enrollment of 1400 full-time undergraduate students.

The Assistant Coach will join a part-time Head Coach in the Department of Athletics. The Athletic Department is housed in the Division of Enrollment Management.

Responsibilities: The part-time Assistant Coach will assist with all facets of administering a competitive NCAA Division III Women's Lacrosse program with a special emphasis on game and practice preparation; scouting and analytical strategy; recruitment of appropriate student-athletes; specific tasks include, but are not limited to: assisting with academic support; assisting with fundraising and insuring the general welfare of the student-athlete. It is required that the person in this position will have a thorough and complete understanding of all NCAA Division III philosophies and regulations, and will adhere to these at all times. Regular day, evening and weekend hours are required.

Qualifications: Bachelor's degree, previous coaching and playing experience at the collegiate level are preferred. Knowledge and compliance with NCAA Division III rules required. The successful candidate must demonstrate a commitment to the developmental education of student-athletes, a strong work ethic, organizational skills, computer skills, and the ability to interact professionally within the department, the campus, and the community.
