Assistant Coordinator - Admissions

Position Category: Staff - Full-Time

Summary:
Enrollment Management is seeking an Assistant Admissions Coordinator to advise students on Admission requirements, policies, procedures, and resources. Organizes, maintains, and updates files, databases, records, and/or other documents in the Student Information System (BANNER). Remains current on theory, practices, techniques, rules, and regulations related to responsibilities. Advises students on Utah Residency, Undergraduate Admissions, and International Admissions. Acts as team lead to part‐time Advisor Generalists, implements outreach to students with incomplete admission applications, manages office emails and Jira escalations, processes Acceptance Letter Requests, oversees Deferred Admissions, initiates onboarding of new part‐time Advisor Generalists and assists in the continuation of training for the customer service team.

Key Roles and Responsibilities:
40% | Assists part‐time Advisor Generalists in providing problem resolution to customers, troubleshoot issues, oversees Deferred Admissions. Organizes, maintains, and updates files, databases, and/or other documentation.30% | Advises students on Admission requirements, policies, procedures, resources, degree programs, as well as International student admissions and residency policy.
20% | Interacts with public via emails, telephone, in‐person office visitors, Jira escalations, Bomgar Chat, oversee outbound admission calling.
10% | Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:
Graduation from an accredited institution with a bachelor’s degree related to the Summary of Duties or any combination of education and/or experience totaling four years is required.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Knowledge of best practices for handling a large volume of documents.
  • Knowledge of college admission procedures.
  • Knowledge of Utah Residency requirements.
  • Knowledge of International student admission and visa protocol.
  • Skilled with computer software applications, including Word, Excel, Access.
  • Skilled in training and supervision.
  • Ability to multitask and troubleshoot problems with student information system.
  • Ability to meet and communicate with public.
  • Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
  • Ability to communicate effectively to a diverse student population.
  • Ability to solve problems creatively.

Pay Range: $29,461 - $36,827
