Speech Language Pathologists, wanting a career change that allows you to use your SLP credentials and skills to develop future clinicians?

The Communication Sciences & Disorders (CSD) Master's program, Speech@Emerson, combines online and in-person learning for aspiring speech-language pathologists across the US. Our program prepares students to become Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) capable of working in any setting, with a variety of disorders, across the lifespan.

We are in need of several SLPs to...
  • Lead, develop, and implement our Immersion Program
  • Advise our students on their academic progress
  • Ensure clinical placements meet program qualifications

All open positions work collaboratively to nurture the student experience, including admissions, advising, and clinical placement support using our abilities to problem-solve, inform and develop policy, while we demonstrate thoughtful, strategic, and student-focused decision-making. Partner with inter-departmental teammates to design, scale and manage learning outcomes and instructional needs is imperative to our success.

What sounds most interesting?
  • Manage and administer two Immersion programs each semester ensuring that activities and facilitators meet and support the program's pedagogic and student learning goals
  • Advise and counsel our students academically
  • Assess and analyze student clinical placements

What matters most is finding someone who will bring warmth, innovation, and creativity to our students in our depth, breadth, and diversity of educational and programmatic experiences.

What is our Immersion Program?
Our four-day Immersion brings students to Emerson's Boston campus for academic, clinical, and hands-on learning experiences. Students participate in two Immersions, one near the beginning and the other at the end of their time in the program. In order to make this happen, you will manage and administer two Immersion programs each semester ensuring that activities and facilitators meet and support the program's pedagogic and student learning goals.

Why Emerson College?
Emerson College is the nation's only four-year institution dedicated exclusively to majors in communication and the arts in a liberal arts context. It is located in the dynamic multi-cultural city of Boston in close proximity to major arts institutions, performing art venues, and research centers. The college enrolls over 5,100 undergraduate and graduate students from 58 countries and all 50 states.

What makes us special is our creativity, passion, expressiveness, inclusivity, hands-on attitude, and ambitious yet independent-minded energy.

Our teams aim to challenge, empower, and inspire communication. We achieve these goals through accountability and responsibility. The world needs to hear from people who understand the complexity of human interaction, who have a passion for connecting with people both close to home and far away, and most importantly, who work hard to inspire others to care and act.

We support and help drive our culture's creative force that prepares our students to be that voice for the world. Our community consists of individuals who do not shy from responsibility, and who partner to achieve great things through input, empathy, and strategic thinking.

Take a look at our benefits package and learn about our great Health and Welfare benefits, such as our generous paid time-off, matching 403b, health/dental packages, tuition remission/reimbursement.

Currently, our staff are working from home, but we are hopeful in the near future it will be safe for us to collaborate in person once more.

A more accurate salary range would be $65,000-$75,000 based upon experience, location, and several other factors we'd be happy to discuss further with you.
