Position Summary

The Engagement Specialist position advances the University goal as a premier national institution in integrative health through serving prospective students to enhance the quality of their experience with MUIH.

This position assists with the coordination of on- and off-campus event planning and execution, administrative support for the development of marketing materials and special projects as needed. An excellent writer and communicator, the Engagement Specialist will produce and manage the MUIH social media corporate accounts.  

*This position may be a hybrid position (on-campus/remote)

Essential Functions

Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

EVENT PLANNING, SCHEDULING AND FOLLOW UP SUPPORT

  • Assist with on- and off-campus event planning and execution
  • Assist in the evaluation of the effectiveness of each event, including summarizing each event
  • Manage all events within event/marketing automation tools under the direction of Marketing Director
  • Maintain event registration and communication plan in event system
  • Book rooms and equipment through various campus offices for events
  • Manage all event related lists including registration and post event attendance in event/marketing automation tools; coordinate with CRM Administrator to ensure accuracy and data integrity of information
  • Manage event and walk-in surveys
  • Purchase branded items as needed
  • Manage strategy, planning and execution of virtual and yield events

SOCIAL MEDIA AND DIGITAL MARKETING SUPPORT

  • Manage social media promotion for events, blog, and other programs via MUIH accounts
  • Manage updates to MUIH web pages via our CMS, Wordpress
  • Manage MUIH blog - identifies and liaises with students, staff and alumni to write stories
  • Review and report on website analytics

ADMINISTRATIVE AND PROGRAM SUPPORT

  • Have a thorough understanding of the policies, procedures and mission of the Enrollment / Marketing office and apply it to daily activities. Must be able to clearly articulate verbally and in written form.
  • Have a thorough understanding of the programs, resources and events of the academic programs and MUIH. Must be able to clearly articulate verbally and in written form.
  • Serve as traffic manager for MUIH Marketing email account.
  • Assist marketing team with marketing communication efforts and special marketing operations projects.


Education and Experience Qualifications  

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in marketing/communications, or a related field
  • 1-2 years in higher education administration or university setting preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines and comply with institutional priorities
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal);
  • Superior time management;
  • Must be able to work in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other Office software.
  • Strong attention to detail, interpersonal and problem-solving skills required.
