Instructors, Teacher Education
We are accepting applications for potential Instructor openings
within Teacher Education for the academic year 2021-2022. We
anticipate hiring instructors for 3 mathematics education courses,
2-3 reading courses, and 8 special education courses.
The need for these positions is dependent on operational needs
including enrollment and staffing. Applications to this posting
will be utilized to fill part-time, non-tenure track, non-benefits
eligible instructor positions on the Athens campus as student
demand dictates for fall semester during the academic year
Minimum Qualifications: Requirement for all
positions include a master’s degree in the field or comparable, a
current or prior teaching license, experience teaching students for
that field, and experience using technology for teaching. For the
special education instructors, expertise in moderate to intensive
educational needs is additionally required.
- Relevant and recent Pre K-12 classroom based
- Demonstrated knowledge of theory and research-supported best
practices for teaching and learning.
- Licensure in content area.
- Experience facilitating professional development.
- Evidence of professional training or attendance and/or
presentations at conferences.
- Ability to deliver online instruction.
