Position Summary:

The Department of Pediatrics is seeking a Scientist to join a translational research laboratory at the University of Wisconsin-Madison studying rare Mendelian disease/ birth defects. The lab has a long-standing interest in congenital facial weakness/Moebius syndrome, mitochondrial disorders, and undiagnosed, but suspected genetic disease. We explore these concepts using both in vitro and in vivo models (iPS work and cell culture models, mouse models) as well as with specimens from human subjects.

Degree and Area of Specialization:

Ph.D. required

Minimum Years and Type of Relevant Work Experience:

Experience in molecular biology or cell culture required. Experience with induced pluripotent stem (iPS) is preferred.
