Primary Purpose of Organizational Unit
The Congdon School of Supply Chain Management, Business Analytics and Information Systems is an academic unit whose mission is defined as research, teaching and service. The faculty publish scholarly articles and present research at academic conferences/meetings. The department provides undergraduate and graduate course work for a wide variety of compulsory business school courses and for courses associated with the Business Analytics, Information Systems and Supply Chain Management options in the Cameron School Business. Service is provided to 1) the university (through faculty committees and other activities), 2) to the community by consulting, speeches to business and professional groups and civic activities and 3) to the academic profession by means of holding officer positions for academic conferences and providing peer review services for journals.

Brief Summary of Work for this Position
The Administrative Associate provides secretarial and technical support to the department.
• Assists with managing, coordinating, and administering department goals
• Secures travel arrangements and processes travel authorizations and reimbursements
• Purchases and stores departmental supplies
• Processes large mailings
• Keeps the Congdon School office space organized
• Assists with event planning
• Provides support during departmental hiring
• Maintains departmental web site
• Spends from and reconciles department budgets
• Supervises student workers
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalency; or demonstrated possession of the competencies necessary to perform the work.
