Job Summary

The Lead CoLab Support Assistant serves as team lead to the CoLab Support Assistants, providing and ensuring backup support assistance to the Collaboration Center Support Specialists. Communicates organizational goals, safe practices and deadlines. Oversees and motivates team members. Leads CoLab Support Assistant team meetings, facilitates and tracks training and prepares team scheduling. Provides help to the Coordinator in the areas of hiring and training and keeps the Coordinator updated on team performance. Collaborates with the Coordinator on scheduling to ensure back-up events management support and technology tutoring staff coverage.

Required Qualifications

Associate’s degree or two years of college level coursework

At least two years of part-time work in either digital media, instructional technology, technical training and customer support

Strong problem-solving/troubleshooting skills

Customer service skills

Interpersonal skills

Communication skills

Knowledge and comfort with various technology tools

Interest in and ability for learning and demonstrating technology

Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

Preferred Qualifications

Video publishing and basic video editing

WordPress or other website/blog tools

Voice recording
