Position Primary Purpose and General Responsibilities
Provides program, project coordination, and support for the Translational Workforce Development ( TWD ) and Hub Research Capacity ( HRC ) programs within the C. Kenneth and Dianne Wright Center for Clinical and Translational Research in support of key initiatives to achieve goals and objectives established by the National Center for Advancing Translational Sciences ( NCATS ) Clinical and Translational Science Award ( CTSA ) and Wright Center leadership. Minimum Hiring Standards
- Education – bachelor’s degree or a combination of equivalent education, training, and work experience
- Demonstrated experience managing multiple projects
- Strong written and verbal communications skills with an ability to communicate effectively in written procedures and development of user guidelines.
- Excellent customer service.
- Ability to plan, organize and prioritize work assignments independently and flexibly to meet timelines.
- Possesses the ability to work both collaboratively (as part of a team), and independently, multitask, and adapt quickly to changing priorities.
- Strong critical thinking skills that apply to the analysis of procedures, assessment needs, and development of optimal solutions.
- Proficiency and knowledge of software programs such as Microsoft Office products, Google Suite applications, Zoom, REDCap database platform, email, web browsers and standard office equipment and technology
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential matters
- Demonstrated experience working in and fostering a diverse faculty, staff and student environment or commitment to do so as a staff member at VCU .
- Previous experience in an University setting
- Previous administrative support and programmatic experience
- Previous experience with learning systems technology
