The Head Coach for women’s volleyball is responsible for managing an intercollegiate volleyball program to include recruiting, instructing, and coaching students and coordinating various program related activities. The head coach of women’s volleyball is required to abide by the rules and regulations established by Bay College and the National Junior College Athletic Association. Minimum Qualifications
  • Associates Degree
  • College coaching or playing experience.
  • Knowledge and understanding of all aspects of the sports program.
  • Knowledge of NJCAA regulations and guidelines governing recruitment and retention of student-athletes.
  • Ability to maintain an effective sports program.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication skills with the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community.
  • Ability to lead and guide student-athletes.
  • Ability to travel to team competitions.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
  • Valid State of Michigan driver’s license.
  • Ability to adapt to change in processes and procedures.
  • Enthusiastic, people orientated, a winning attitude.
  • Passion for results.




Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
  • Prior higher education recruiting experience.

Compensation for the 2021-2022 school year: $1,500 annually
