Faculty, Non Tenure Track Lecturer - Emergency Services

Position Category: Faculty - Non Tenure Track (FT)

Summary:
Teaches assigned undergraduate courses. Plans, prepares, and follows an approved course of study with measurable objectives.
Prepares instructional materials (mock-ups, visual aids, and instruction sheets) as necessary.
Evaluates instructions and learning by means of written, verbal, practical, and performance tests. Required Qualifications:
Graduation from a regionally accredited institution with a master’s degree plus two years of experience in a related discipline or a bachelor’s degree plus four years of directly related experience.
Demonstrated successful teaching at the college or university level is required.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
* Knowledge of the principles and methodology of teaching techniques.
* Maintain current Advanced EMT certification as required by BEMS.
* Skill in assisting counselors and other department heads in maintaining an effective program.
* Accomplished teacher.
* Ability to utilize curriculum and teach approved courses.
* Ability to develop curriculum and teach assigned courses.
* Ability to communicate (written and verbally) effectively with a wide variety of students, faculty and others.
* Skill and ability in assessing student learning capabilities and learning styles and understanding how to develop curriculum of assigned courses.

Preferred Qualifications:
Graduation from an accredited institution with a bachelors degree in a field strongly related to the field of instruction plus five years of teaching experience and a minimum of five years of professional experience.

Physical Requirements:
Work is generally performed typical of an office/classroom environment.
