Assistant Director, IdahoSTARS
Location: Off Campus Location - Post Falls, CDA, Moscow, Boise, Pocatello or Idaho Falls

Pay Range: $52,270 per year or higher depending on education and experience

Position Summary:
Under the direction of the IdahoSTARS Director, the IdahoSTARS Assistant Director is responsible for development, implementation, and oversight of assigned early care and education quality goals with a primary focus on advancing social and emotional quality improvement activities in early childhood settings. This position serves as a member of the IdahoSTARS leadership team. In partnership with the other IdahoSTARS Assistant Directors, this position will lead assigned strategic activities, to include development of strategic objectives, project management, contract monitoring, budgeting, supervision and oversight of project staff and contractors, and evaluation reporting.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or early childhood special education. Experience:· 3 years of direct work experience in early care and education;· Directly supporting young children and their families with social and emotional development;· Project management to include strategic planning and budgeting;· Delivering training and technical assistance.
Preferred Qualifications:
Education: Master’s degree in early childhood education or early childhood special education.
Certificate:
· Infant Mental Health Certification or Endorsement;
Experience · 5 years of experience in early care and education· Working on collaborative teams;· Supervising staff;· Pyramid Model Implementation;· Presenting at state or national conferences;· Working in inclusive early care and education programs.
Knowledge: · High-quality inclusive programing for young children;· Social and emotional, or behavioral health frameworks for supporting young children;· Best practice in early childhood education;· Practice-based coaching.
