Community Advisory Committee Coordinator
Location: Boise

Pay Range: $17.23 per hour or higher depending on education and experience

Position Summary:
The Community Advisory Committee Coordinator recruits new members from across the state to participate on the committee for three-year terms; provides orientation training to new members; organizes meetings and meeting materials; communicates regularly with CAC members in between meetings about events and activities occurring at the CDHD, national and state policy updates, and to solicit input on CDHD activities. The coordinator monitors the CAC budget and plans all travel and meeting arrangements, prepares meeting materials with the support of other CDHD staff; and facilitates all CAC meetings; maintains all CAC files and organizes CAC membership terms. The CAC coordinator participates in the statewide Disability Advocacy Network of Idaho (DANI) supporting disability policy fellows and statewide policy activities. The CAC coordinator also maintains a seat on the Consortium for Idahoans with Disabilities (CID) and communicates regularly with the CDHD director about key policy issues and provides recommendations regarding disability policy direction.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education: High School diploma or GED. Experience:· Working with people with disabilities and their families in an advocacy role;· Computer skills: Using computers and software for email, scheduling, word processing, data organization, and research;
Preferred Qualifications:
Education: Bachelors degree in human services, education.
Ability to: · Work collaboratively with multiple internal and external partners· Work in a busy environment with shifting priorities;· Work well independently and in a team;· Coordinate working groups;· Perform and lead others in program related activities;· Serve as a liaison with other departments/institutions.
