Primary Purpose of Position:
The primary purpose of the position is to assist North Carolina Central University in the designing, planning, coding, development, and maintenance of all user interfaces found primarily through web sites, pages, web-based applications, interfaces between varied information systems, and web portals for North Carolina Central University.

Minimum Education/Experience:
Associate’s Degree in Web Development; or Bachelor’s Degree with nine credit hours in programming; or equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Must possess a working knowledge of web technology and visual design, which includes Adobe Creative Suite, MSSQL, SQL, XML, XSLT, JavaScript, CSS, HTML, XHTML, WCAG accessibility standards, and an understanding behind content management systems (CMS); knowledge of designing, coding, planning, developing, and maintenance of web-based solutions; ability to devise, organize and follow medium to advanced technical procedures; ability to work independently with little or no supervision; to take initiative to see projects and assignments through to completion; to learn, interpret and analyze information to make necessary decisions; to exercise judgment and discretion in problem solving; to plan, prioritize and organize workflow; excellent analytical and organizational skills along with written and oral communication skills; great interpersonal skills to interact effectively and diplomatically with a wide range of individuals in a high pressure environment.
