Position Summary:
The Administrative Specialist provides support for the administrative functions of Comparative Biosciences in the School of Veterinary Medicine at UW - Madison, with direct responsibility to the Chair of Comparative Biosciences. The Administrative Specialist functions as a liaison between the Department Chair, Associate Chair, department administrator, and divisional leadership, organizing and processing activities related to office management and support.
The key responsibilities of this position include: 1) Office management 2) Departmental communication and support 3) Travel management and reimbursements, 2) Tenure and post tenure review package preparation 4) Coordination of faculty searches, 5) Coordination of monthly faculty meeting agendas, 6) Property control management 7) Assistance to department chair and associate chairs.
