A high visibility position providing administrative and budgetary support to the school and its students. Qualifications
Proficiency in MS Office applications, Hyperion Query system, data manipulation and analysis, accounting standards, university expenditure policies and procedures. Basic understanding of contracts. Solid oral and written communications skills required. Attention to detail and the ability to work accurately required. Job Specific Qualifications
Excellent interpersonal, planning and time management, organizational, and written and verbal communications skills.
Ability to communicate and work with diverse populations is necessary.
Maintain knowledge of all financial and accounting functions Responsibilities
Assists with planning and managing the budget and financial operations of the department. Advises Dean, Associate and Assistant Deans on current accounting policies and practices.

Serves as the school’s primary Accountant, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations, university policies.

Manages, maintains, records and tracks all of the department’s non-payroll financial transactions and contracts, regardless of funding source, and has approval authority for same, acting as needed in the absence of the Assistant Dean.

Researches, analyzes and prepares administrative reports using PeopleSoft and Hyperion query systems and internal school databases.

Reconciles school accounts on a monthly basis.
