The Sociology office seeks to fill the role of Office Coordinator III . The Office Coordinator is responsible for providing both student and faculty administrative support. The successful candidate will be flexible in adapting to changes in work environment, supporting the office needs as workload fluctuation dictates. This position is customer service oriented and supports the department with all administrative needs including managing website, tracking student success and all events and inquiries for the department. Qualifications
Business school or 2-year degree and 2-3 years of secretarial experience and/or equivalent combination of education and experience; previous experience in a college setting desirable. Job Specific Qualifications
Proficient with Microsoft Word and web management. Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work with a diverse student population. Responsibilities
  • Work closely with the Undergraduate Director to manage major/minor students issues, update student listservs, handle all UG paperwork (petitions/add & drop), assist with Senior Thesis Presentations and Honor Society events. Assist A&S Advisors with all issues regarding our majors & minors.




  • Handle and respond to inquiries from faculty, students, parents and general public.
  • Handle Department’s Assessment plan for Middle States every semester, including collection of student work and continue to track and measure student success.
  • Update Department website regularly & create department newsletter twice a year, edits and handles all accessibility for all department documents and web pages prior to upload.
  • Coordinate and distribute end of semester course evaluations online for all courses.
