Established in 1887 as a school for the education of American

Specific Duties include: Academic and administrative duties related
to processing academic paperwork for transfer students. Make
admission decisions on behalf of the Undergraduate Admissions
office. Determine the course transferability under the supervision
of the Director of Undergraduate Admissions and in accordance with
the University of North Carolina system and UNC Pembroke
policies. Prepare transcript evaluations using the Banner system
including articulation reviews and special credit awards. File
maintenance as well as maintain statistical data on productivity.
Build transfer equivalencies in the Banner database. Responsible
for assisting in evaluating processes and recommending
modifications to ensure the highest level of student/customer
service, workflow and accuracy of records. Provide continuous,
timely and courteous service when assisting all internal and
external customers. Keep abreast of updates to
articulation/alliance agreements/transfer credit policies. As a
secondary responsibility, evaluate freshmen files as time allows.
Conduct counseling interviews with prospective and/or admitted
students and family members who visit campus. Serve as University
Ambassador for special programs sponsored by the Chancellor’s
Office, Academic Affairs, Advancement, Student Affairs, University
and Community Relations, Finance and Administration, Athletics and
other areas as requested. Perform other job-related duties as
assigned.
Minimum Training and Experience Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree with significant experience in recruitment, admissions or student services. This position requires strong oral and written communication skills; the ability to work with diverse populations; competence in technology and computer skills: the ability to collect and analyze data using the results to implement future programs, plans and strategies.
