Applications are invited for appointment as Part-time Lecturer in the Department of Mechanical Engineering (Ref.: 504741), to commence as soon as possible for nine months with effective from September 2021.

Applicants should possess a Ph.D. degree in Engineering, with at least 2 years of teaching experience. Proficiency in English, enthusiasm in teaching, and good mentoring skills are essential. Those with proficiency in teaching interdisciplinary Engineering courses to senior year undergraduates and an academic background in all areas of Engineering, especially control theory, mechanics and dynamics, would be preferred. The appointee will be responsible for teaching undergraduate Engineering-related courses; supervising student projects; providing academic advising services to students; and offering support to teaching-related activities such as liaising with undergraduates in the Department and leading outreach activities in programme promotion and student recruitment matters.

A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits. At current rates, salaries tax does not exceed 15% of gross income.
