The University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) is accepting applications for a full-time, Director of Professional Development/Assistant Professor (non-tenure track) in the Department of Clinical and Diagnostic Sciences, School of Health Professions (SHP). The responsibilities will be to design and deliver programs and education that support the School of Health Profession’s mission, vision, values, and strategic goals.  Implements programs in a manner consistent with the school’s graduation requirements and framework for professional development. Responsibilities will include: timely updates to course syllabus and instructional materials, identify on campus resources for professional development, organize guest speakers for class meetings, provide training for class meetings’ facilitators, evaluate with program liaisons students’ progress and, if necessary, create additional remediation assignments, along with other duties as assigned.

 

Master’s degree required. Experience in teaching at the graduate level in a health-related profession and/or professional school is highly desirable.
