Admin Support III - Dining Services

Position Category: Staff - Full-Time

Summary:
This position fulfills a key role in providing clerical, managerial, and administrative support to the Director of Dining Services and his immediate staff. The Admin Support performs and oversees a variety of administrative fiscal and planning responsibilities including that of managing the office and its supplies, informing others of services available, coordinating schedules, obtaining knowledge of policies, updating procedures and website, financials, record keeping, and information gathering. Required Qualifications:
Graduation from an accredited institution with a bachelor’s related to the summary of duties or any combination of education and/or experience totaling four years.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Outlook.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Knowledge of best practices in events, marketing communications, correspondence, and appropriate matters of etiquette in various settings.
  • Skill in managing and scheduling through Microsoft Outlook.
  • Knowledge in navigating UVU Marketplace and creating requisitions.
  • Skill in office methods, techniques, practices, and procedures.
  • Skill in the use of computers and computer software applications including word processing, spreadsheets, email, internet, databases, and presentations.
  • Skill in the preparation and interpretation of Microsoft Excel reports, charts, graphs, tables, and formulas.
  • Strong interpersonal, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Exceptional customer service orientation and phone etiquette.
  • Perform a variety of administrative support duties with minimum supervision.
  • Follow oral and written procedures and instructions.
  • Communicate effectively, verbally, and in writing.
  • Must meet and deal with people of diverse backgrounds.
  • Maintain confidentiality of highly sensitive information.
  • Must demonstrate professional demeanor and poise.
  • Ability to plan and anticipate potential changes and act accordingly.
  • Ability to enact strategic changes affecting multiple stakeholders, including high-level university leadership.
  • Must work weekends on occasion as necessary, including evenings, and holidays.


Preferred Qualifications:
Prefer an associate’s degree in business administrative or other administrative field. Experience as an event planner is preferred.



Physical Requirements:
This position performs work in a standard office setting.

Pay Range: $31,052 - $38,816
