Time Base: Full-Time
Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM; this is a temporary position to end on or before June 30, 2022 with a possibility of renewal on an annual basis if funds and/or program needs exist.

About the Position:

The Student Health and Counseling Center strives to support students in achieving their academic, professional, and personal goals. Maintaining an optimal level of wellness is crucial for living a higher quality life and reaching your highest potential. The Student Health and Counseling Center is seeking a Nurse Practitioner. The ideal candidate should have a positive attitude and an active, energetic mind and is characterized by highly ethical practices and a commitment to diversity, openness, flexibility, integrity, and kindness.

The Nurse Practitioner administers COVID-19 tests to students and employees.


Essential Qualifications:
Must possess an academic degree or certificate from an approved accredited college or university-based Nurse Practitioner program or possess equivalent training and experience as outlined by the California Board of Registered Nursing (BRN). Must be clinically competent in a medical specialty applicable to their position and must possess sufficient experience to independently perform the duties of a Nurse Practitioner within that specialty. Must be able to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with others.

A background check (including a criminal records check) must be completed satisfactorily and is required for employment. CSU will make a conditional offer of employment, which may be rescinded if the background check reveals disqualifying information, and/or it is discovered that the candidate knowingly withheld or falsified information. Failure to satisfactorily complete the background check may affect the continued employment of a current CSU employee who was conditionally offered the position.
