The University of Washington’s School of Medicine, Department of Medicine, Division of Cardiology, and UW Heart Institute are seeking a full-time, experienced cardiologist to join our Interventional Cardiology Service at the University of Washington Medical Center. We would expect this individual to take on leadership responsibilities within the program. The individual would use their strong interpersonal skills to build referral relationships throughout King, Pierce and Snohomish counties. This individual will have teaching duties that include attending on clinical service and mentoring residents and fellows. The successful applicant would be appointed to the full-time faculty at the University of Washington at the rank of Assistant, Associate or full Professor (without tenure due to funding), commensurate with qualifications. This position would have an annual service period of 12 months (July 1-June 30). University of Washington faculty engage in teaching, research and service.  Anticipated start date is December 1, 2021.

 

Applicants should have an MD degree (or foreign equivalent) and be board certified/eligible in cardiovascular diseases (or foreign equivalent). Candidates should have a strong interest in scholarship with a demonstrated record of research and publication. In order to be eligible for University sponsorship for an H-1B visa, graduates of foreign (non-US) medical schools must show successful completion of all three steps of the U.S. Medical Licensing Exam (USMLE), or equivalent as determined by the Secretary of Health and Human Services.
