The Nephrology Division at the University of Maryland School of Medicine and the Medical Service at the Baltimore VA Medical Center has an opening for our expanding clinical programs on our nephrology, dialysis, and transplant services. In addition to inpatient and outpatient clinical services, the candidate will also be expected to be involved in focused basic/clinical research and serve as Section Head of Nephrology at the VAMC. Expected faculty rank is Associate Professor or higher, however, final rank, tenure status and salary will be commensurate with the selected candidate’s qualifications and experience.

Qualifications :

Successful candidates must have received their MD degree from a recognized accredited university (or foreign equivalent), be board certified in Nephrology, and eligible to obtain an independent medical license in the State of Maryland. Excellent clinical and teaching skills are also required as instruction of medical residents and fellows is integral to our clinical programs. In addition, because this position will be funded (in part) by the Veterans Administration, all candidates must be US citizens.
