A Post-doctoral position is available in the Melemedjian lab in the School of Dentistry at the University of Maryland, Baltimore. The Melemedjian lab is focused on understanding the metabolic mechanisms of chronic pain. The position involves studying the impact chemotherapeutics have on the metabolism of sensory neurons and develop novel treatments that can alleviate chemotherapy-induced neuropathic pain without interfering with the anti-cancer effects.
Qualifications :
Candidates must have a PhD in neuroscience, pharmacology, biochemistry, cancer, cell, molecular biology, or an equivalent field. Experience/skills in mouse cancer models are desired. Applicants from diverse backgrounds are encouraged to apply.
