Saint Francis University invites applications for a 12-month non-tenured faculty position of Assistant Professor in the Department of Public Health & Graduate Health Sciences.  The Assistant Professor is responsible to the Chairperson to teach courses associated with the field of Public Health on the undergraduate/graduate levels and other courses offered within the department as deemed appropriate by the Chair.  Teaching load will be developed in the candidate’s area of expertise.  Additional responsibilities encompass all of the elements/requirements of university faculty including: teaching load; teaching across the curriculum as assigned; participation in University faculty meetings; service to the University, the School of Health Sciences & Education, and the Department of Public Health and Graduate Health Sciences.  Additionally, the faculty member is responsible to participate in University committees as appointed; participation in departmental activities/initiatives; with a significant focus on accreditation activities; curriculum development and evaluation; student advisement, student research, activities that support scholarship and professional development; participation in the University’s’ General Education Program; and performs all other duties as assigned.  Must comply with all of the requirements/policies of Saint Francis University, the School of Health Science & Education, Department of Public Health & Graduate Health Sciences, and the Council of Education of Public Health (CEPH).

Doctoral degree required in Public Health with strong relevant experience in academic curricular development, teaching and field coordination to enhance student learning and meet accreditation requirements. Experience with the coordination of Public Health Field experiences and online teaching preferred.  Documentation of highly effective record of teaching, scholarship, and service, with excellent interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with others.
