Position Summary:

Under the direct supervision of the Director of Men's and Women's Track & Field and Cross Country, assist with the responsibilities of both Division I Cross Country programs in accordance with NCAA, Big Ten, and University regulations. Areas of responsibility may include: coaching of men and women distance and mid-distance student-athletes, serving as recruiting coordinator for distance and mid-distance student-athletes and other duties as assigned by the Director of Track & Field and Cross Country.

Degree and Area of Specialization:

Bachelor's degree required.

Minimum Years and Type of Relevant Work Experience:

Minimum of three (3) years of successful coaching experience is required, preferably at the Division I collegiate level. Ideal candidates should demonstrate the following: proven record in recruitment of prospective student-athletes, the ability to foster team competitive success while maintaining a strong emphasis on the personal development and academic achievement of student-athletes; excellent communication skills to work with student-athletes, other coaches, and administrators; knowledge of and experience with NCAA and Big Ten rules.

Conditions of Appointment: This is a 100% FTE Limited Staff appointment. Salary will be assigned within the appropriate range, commensurate with the candidate's qualifications and experience. An excellent benefits package is also included. Anticipated start date on or after August 4, 2021.
