Serve as the Program Assistant – MIC Lee Summit Nursing Program under the administrative guidance of the School Chair and in collaboration with the Warrensburg Nursing Program Assistant to include: plan, document, and monitor the school’s budget as it relates to maintaining and ordering inventory.

Function as a customer service relations specialist to include: receive, research, and respond to inquires presented to the school via telephone and walk-in customers. Promote programs to potential students. Apply critical thinking skills to determine proper routing of customer inquiries to the school staff or specific departments on main campus. Alter Chair of potential problems requiring higher level attention. Work with Chair to develop and implement new customer service processes as needed. Schedule routine and requested appointments with the school chair.

Serve as the MIC Lee’s Summit School of Nursing Office Manager, to include: coordination of office calendar and deadlines, purchasing, inventory, and equipment maintenance. Assist in the hiring and training of temporary and student employees. Provide oversight of students and temporary employees.

Provide Administrative support to the school Chair and Faculty MIC Lees Summit to include: scheduling appointments, meeting rooms, and extracurricular use of classrooms, creating and distributing correspondence, in the Chair’s absence. Assist in coordinating off and on-campus events to include in-service, luncheons, receptions, etc. and communications between Warrensburg and UCM -Lee’s Summit. Associate’s degree in Office Administration, Business, or related area. Education may be substituted for experience or experience may be substituted for education. Note that equivalencies are based on the following: AA/60 Hours = 2 years experience; BA/BS/120 Hours = 4 years experience. Computer Skills Word-Processing, Spreadsheet, Web Page Maintenance, Presentation Experience
Two year of related office experience required with at least one year of customer service related experience.
Preferred experience: administrative support experience assisting an administrator/director. Other Experience Licenses, Certificates, Registrations, & State/Federal Requirements of Position: Criminal History check, Driver's license Other Licenses, Certificates, Registrations, & State/Federal Requirements Special Skills, Abilities, and Knowledge: Attention to detail, Communication skills, including oral, written, and/or nonverbal, Knowledge of a University environment preferred, Human Relations/Interpersonal skills, Leadership skills: organization/meeting facilitation/project leadership, Physical abilities: mobility/strength/dexterity/balance/coordination/endurance, Supervisory skills, including motivation, delegation of duties, evaluation, etc, Management and/or administration skills, Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and meet deadlines, Maintain confidentiality Other Special Skills, Abilities, and Knowledge

Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituents in a diverse community.
