Purpose of Position
This HR Generalist role requires a strong commitment to customer service, confidentiality and must demonstrate a high level of diplomacy in dealing with the diverse needs of the HR customer. Primary Responsibilities
  • HR Generalist knowledge delivering in a high volume, customer service focused environment
  • Serves as a trusted advisor to members of the HR team and the CHRO
  • Aids in the response for all types of HR questions including benefits, payroll, employment and paperwork processing.
  • Assists with policy development and implementation
  • Creates clear, detailed communications such as emails, letters, job offers, separation agreements, minutes, agendas and other various types of correspondence.
  • Manages the day-to-day operations of the HR office including ordering of supplies; tracking and coordinating schedules, coordinating travel arrangements.
  • Serves as office manager for HR/ Payroll, responsible for maintaining 6 budgets in excess of $3 million. Initiates and distributes a variety of HR and NKU forms relating to budget, purchasing, etc.
  • Serves as the HR compliance and process improvement liaison for the Staff Congress policy committee; end of probation process tracking, SAP time administrator
  • Direct support of the CHRO ; maintaining and coordinating the CHRO’s calendar and daily schedule.

Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree plus two years of professional experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience required.

Business and strong organizational skills, several years experience in dealing with the public or in customer service in a complex organization, previous experience in human resources, and be able to prioritize and deal with multiple demands at one time.

Experience in high volume business office required – Human Resources preferred. Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Excel and Word and knowledge of SAP strongly preferred.

Strong office management skills a must including well-developed organizational, interpersonal, communication, and decision-making skills.

Excellent judgment, professional demeanor, positive attitude, high level of reliability/discretion, and customer-orientation.
