Job Summary
Auburn Athletics is seeking candidates for Assistant Director, Athletics Video Services (Coord, Ath Video Services I/II/ III ). Working with the War Eagle Productions team and under the direction of the Assistant Athletics Director for War Eagle Productions, this position will produce and create video content for the department’s various sports programs, venue video boards, SEC Network, social media, and other multimedia outlets.
Formal AU job title: Coordinator, Athletic Video Services. The final candidate will be assigned to level I/II/ III based on education and experience.
Essential Functions
The successful candidate will be responsible for, but not limited to:
· Shooting and editing videos for in-venue shows, social media, SEC Network, and other multimedia outlets;
· Producing video content for assigned sports
· Creating motion graphics for LED boards and social media
· Assisting in the fulfillment of corporate sponsorships with Auburn Sports Properties; and,
· Complying with all applicable National Collegiate Athletic Association ( NCAA ) and Southeastern Conference ( SEC ) regulations in the performance of job duties.
Entry into the applicant pool requires a bachelor’s degree in Media Studies, Communications, RTVF (Radio, Television, Film), Broadcast Journalism, or related discipline. Candidate must have videography skills including lighting, on-location shooting, live events, and television/streamed shows.
Preferred qualifications include experience in television production or an athletics video production setting. We are seeking candidates who are:
· Highly proficient with Adobe Premiere editing, Adobe After Effects, Photoshop, and 3D software;
· Able to shoot, edit and composite footage for intro videos, video features, psych-up videos, headshots and highlights videos; 3D/2D animations and graphics;
· Experienced in working with 4K footage and LUTs;
· Experienced in creating content for non-standard video display dimensions; and,
· Familiar with multiple video file formats and media archival systems.
