Job Summary

The Office of Professional & Career Development in the Harbert College of Business at Auburn University seeks an Administrative Support Specialist. This position provides varied and high level administrative and technical support.

Essential Functions

Essential functions of this position include:
  • Advises department team members on processes, procedures, and services
  • Reviews and verifies documentation for completeness and compliance with policies and procedures
  • Participates and/or assists in special activities such as orientations, consultations, and events
  • Performs a variety of clerical duties such as correspondence, filing, recordkeeping, preparation/processing forms, mail distribution, reviewing/processing travel and expense vouchers, maintaining supplies/inventory, etc.
  • Schedules classrooms, enters course information into the student scheduling system, conducts teaching effectiveness surveys, etc.
  • Provides budget tracking and coordination for department
  • Other duties as assigned
