Primary Function

Responsible for assisting in the management and administration of all phases of the athletic training operations.
Duties and Responsibilities (generally)

To provide health care and health education to ensure the safety of, reduce the risk of injury to, and guide the rehabilitation of Huskie student-athletes under the guidance of the Head Athletic Trainer.
Minimum Required Qualifications for this position

Bachelor’s Degree required. N.A.T.A. Certification Required. Eligible to meet Illinois Athletic Trainer Registration requirements. Minimum one year athletic training experience in school or clinic setting. Minimum of two years work experience as certified athletic trainer.
Specialty Factors (Additional Required Qualifications)

Education and Experience Preferred

Master’s degree preferred. Minimum 1 year Athletic training experience at the university or college level. Experience with NCAA Division I athletes.

Ability to communicate with and relate well to student-athletes, coaching and department support staff. Ability to effectively communicate through oral, written and electronic forms.

Actual hiring rate is commensurate with experience, education, and internal equity; position includes a robust benefits package to eligible applicants.
