Desktop Support Specialist
UF Information Technology (UFIT) is currently seeking an entry
level Desktop Support Specialist to join Academic Technology -
Technology Support Services, a unit within UFIT, to provide
accurate, timely, and sustainable solutions to end user computing
and networking problems of basic to moderate nature to ensure end

The primary responsibilities are:
About UF Information Technology
- Assisting end users with getting set up on supported equipment
- Familiarizing end-users with how to use the equipment and
- Assisting end users with resolving software issues pertaining
to supported software.
- Installing and physically moving computers, printers, and other
end user technology devices, including installing designated system
imaging and application software.
- Troubleshooting and resolving entry-level problems as well as
providing entry-level maintenance for computers, printers, and
other end user technology devices.
The UF Information Technology division is comprised of seven
departments reporting to the Vice President & Chief Information
Officer. The departments reporting directly to the VP & CIO
are: Academic Technology, Research Computing, Infrastructure &
Communication Technology, Enterprise Systems, Information Security
Office, and the UFIT Business Center. With established governance
advisory committees and a set of well-defined, transparent
processes aiding decision-making, UFIT strives to provide

Associate degree; or High School diploma and two years of relevant
Appropriate college coursework or vocational/technical training may
substitute at an equivalent rate for the required experience but
does not negate the minimum degree requirement(s).
Valid Florida Driver's License.
The ideal candidate will possess the following experience, and
- Familiarity with end user technical support procedures and
- Knowledge of operating systems such as:
- Apple Mac OS
- Windows 10
- Microsoft Office Suite
- Adobe Creative Cloud suite
- AD and GPOs understanding
- Microsoft Exchange Cloud
