N/A Description of the Department or Unit
The Department of Finance, Banking and Insurance includes 20 full-time finance, insurance and law faculty serving approximately 350 undergraduate majors. The department also provides classes for the MBA and other graduate programs. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Faculty typically teach three classes per semester and serve on department, college, and university committees. Successful candidates will provide evidence of an ongoing commitment to excellence in student instruction and engagement, produce quality research, and maintain strong relationships with professional organizations.

The faculty member will have the opportunity to work closely with the Brantley Risk and Insurance Center . Objectives of the Brantley Center include involving students with the insurance industry, supporting faculty development, directing research activities toward problems and questions of interest to the insurance industry, and assisting the industry in the design and delivery of continuing education programs.
