The incumbent is responsible for overall leadership, development, evaluation, and supervision of Industrial Workforce programs for regional employees and job/career seekers in both open enrollment and employer-customized training formats within the industrial sector. Responsible for aligning employer and educational stakeholder interests and other educational factors that contribute to an individual’s work readiness. Minimum Education/Training/Experience
Bachelor’s Degree in Industry, Education, or related field; three (3) years or more experience in developing workforce training programs or related experience. Incumbent must have exceptionally strong communication and organizational skills. Preferred Education/Training/Experience
Five years’ experience in developing workforce training or administrative higher education experience. Minimum Knowledge & Skills

9.Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and a high degree of accuracy
10.Ability to prioritize and handle multiple projects simultaneously while meeting demanding deadlines
11.Ability to create and deliver internal and external communication plans
12.Understanding of, sensitivity to, and respect for the diverse academic, socio-economic, ethnic, cultural, disability, religious background and sexual orientation of community college students Preferred Knowledge & Skills
1.Demonstrated success in assessing training needs, developing and implementing training programs
2.Ability to assess the needs of local industry and provide for those needs by developing appropriate industrial/craft training programs
3.Research and implement alternative delivery systems, including those that utilize emerging technologies, locally and globally, to provide optimum access, training, and professional content for existing and new client populations and possible future implementation.
4.Selects assigns, orients, trains, observes and evaluates the performance of assigned personnel and instructors.
5.Evaluate instructor performance with in-class observations and the effectiveness of training programs, providing recommendations for improvement.
6.Coordinate advisory committee meetings and implement appropriate changes to instructional curriculum or program content
7.Determine program class schedules for each quarter to optimize student completion
8.Arrange for student services and career counseling as appropriate to assist students in program completion and job placement
9.Participate in student recruitment activities Licensing/Certification Requirements
None Job Duties
1. Designs, establishes, and maintains an organizational structure and staffing to effectively accomplish the College’s goals and objectives; recruits, employs, trains, observes and supervises CE adjunct faculty for CE workforce programs.
2. Develop, implement and evaluate programs designed to train students for industrial/craft occupations.
3. Coordinates and supervises all program goals, objectives, and activities.
4. Interfaces with staff and faculty, students, community agencies, and other appropriate groups to initiate, sustain, and grow CE workforce programs.
5. Provides leadership for preparing the Department’s budget to include: assisting in budget implementations, forecasting funds needed for additional resources, and administering the approved budget.
6. Researches and stays current on regulatory issues and advises the College about changes/revisions necessary to ensure College compliance with regulatory rules, regulations, and problems.
7. Assess the needs of local industry and provide for those needs by developing appropriate industrial/craft training programs.

Physical Requirements
Positions in this class typically require: stooping, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, fingering, talking, hearing, seeing and repetitive motions. Sedentary Work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally and all other sedentary criteria are met.
