Applications are invited for appointment as Post-doctoral Fellow in the Department of Microbiology (Ref.: 504616), to commence as soon as possible for one year, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance.

Applicants should possess a doctoral degree by research (Ph.D. or equivalent) in bioinformatics, virology, molecular biology, or related disciplines. They must be proficient in NGS/sequence data analysis and database development/maintenance. They should have an excellent command of written and spoken English, and a demonstrated record of publishing academic research papers. They should be organized, self-motivated, and able to work independently as well as in a multidisciplinary team. Experience in metagenomics, microbiome, microbial genomics, omics analysis, microbial identification/diagnostics, or massive DNA sequencing would be an advantage.

A competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits.
