Job Summary
Under the direction of the Assistant Director of Freshman Admissions, the Regional Recruitment Coordinator will manage all phases of recruitment, admissions, and events within the assigned territory of metro-Atlanta, North Georgia and States not contiguous to Georgia. This position provides students with accurate and timely information about the admission and enrollment processes, institutional policies, academic programs, and support services. The Coordinator will assist students in exploring their options at Georgia Southern that are consistent with their interests, abilities, and goals. Building strong external relationships with alums, school counselors, community leaders and other educators are all significant functions of this position. This position will work closely with the Assistant Director to develop on-campus relationships with key partners in the Honors and Leadership office to manage the enrollment of new students for those programs.

Responsibilities
  • Perform related duties as assigned to support the mission of the University
  • Plan and manage the recruitment events for the assigned territory.
  • Responsible for 31.7% of first-time freshman enrollment
  • Assist with transfer/non-traditional fairs as needed
  • Recruit students in all non-border (to Georgia) states
  • Travel extensively to attend and present at college fairs, high schools, admission events, and other community events to recruit prospective students. Travel may extend into other recruitment territories and may include night and weekend work
  • In collaboration with the Assistant Director, plan strategic recruitment initiatives to meet enrollment goals for assigned territory
  • Create presentations, attend events, and hosts events tailored to school counselors, community-based organizations, prospective students, and their families
  • Develop strong relationships with school counselors and other educators in assigned territory
  • Maintain regular correspondence with prospective students by email, social media, phone calls, and text messaging
  • Work closely with the Alumni Office to attend events they have in the metro Atlanta area in order to recruit legacy students
  • Develop meaningful ways to promote our Honors College, Leadership program, and Admissions scholarship opportunities
  • Use the Slate CRM to monitor the progress of the territory, track travel, and schedule visits with prospective students

Required Qualifications
Educational Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree

Required Experience
  • Two or more years of related work experience

Preferred Qualifications
Preferred Educational Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Higher Education or other related field

Preferred Experience
  • Experience in college admissions or enrollment management
  • Experience in sales or marketing
  • Experience with a CRM system

Proposed Salary
$36,500 - $39,900

This is a non-exempt position
