About the Opportunity:
Reporting to the Vice Provost(s), the program coordinator will help design and coordinate programs and events aimed at advancing organizational diversity goals. The program coordinator will assist in the design, development, implementation and assessment of diversity and inclusion events and programs for students, faculty and staff of Northeastern University.

Responsibilities:
Projects tasks include, but are not limited to: Organize, coordinate and oversee management of events, programs, and trainings; facilitate collaborations and support external outreach efforts with community partners; identify relevant speakers, guests, and experts for campus events; assist in planning and coordinating diversity and inclusion conferences, training series, and signature programs; assist in data collection and presentation; manage web presence, social media, and creation of promotional materials; develop and present educational and/or training materials; supervise student employees. This person will collaborate with other campus offices, external partners, and students to develop and execute new and existing programs and services in support of institutional diversity and inclusion efforts. The coordinator may be required to work before or after normal business hours, including weekends. Some evening and weekend events will require attendance and oversight. Other projects assigned by the Vice Provosts and Senior Vice Provost and Chief Inclusion Officer.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree plus 1-3 years of prior work experience in diversity and inclusion, cultural competency, and social justice required. Master's degree preferred but not required. Exceptional verbal and written communication skills are required, as well as the ability to multi-task, take initiative, prioritize, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge of cultural competency, diversity, and inclusion in higher education issues. Knowledge and/or experience with program design and implementation; facilitation; curriculum development; instructional design and delivery; methods, principles or experience delivering training and/or speaking in front of audiences. Ability to gather and analyze data and develop reports. Superior organizational and time management skills, and discretion. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, make sound decisions, and execute. Project management skills including the ability to manage multiple projects and programs simultaneously. Excellent customer service skills, including the ability to resolve problems in a quick, efficient, creative, and culturally competent manner. Computer skills should include graphs, proficiency with Microsoft Office, and Adobe. Experience with website development and social media, including WordPress, Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.
