About the Opportunity:
The Associate Director for Capital Financial Management is responsible for managing the financial aspect of capital projects within the overall capital program portfolio. The Associate Director for Capital Financial Management will review project funding requests, construction payment applications, amendments and change orders and project closeouts to ensure these financial transactions align with University's financial capital planning reporting requirements. Provide D&C leadership with data on the financial condition of the capital program and recommend strategies that may involve corrective actions to ensure program success. Act as a liaison with Design & Construction, Campus Planning & Real Estate and University financial divisions to develop multi-year capital plans that will provide insight on the future direction of the University and identify the financial resources necessary to achieve desired objectives.

Responsibilities:
This position will track and manage funding sources identified for capital projects so financial resources or funding strategies are in place prior to the commencement of a project. Cash flows will be managed to provide financial projections that will support the University's investment strategy. Capital project data residing within Facilities Management project management information system (PMIS) and University enterprise systems will be utilized for data analytics to provide insight into trends and potential costs. Reconcile project financials to confirm budgets, commitments and expenditures are complete and accurate. Develop reporting and other means for communicating the financial condition of individual projects and the overall capital program.

Qualifications:
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills are required. Strong analytical and customer service skills are also very important in this position. The position reports to the Director, Program/Project Controls within the Facilities Management Division. The ideal candidate will have 4-6 years of related experience within the design and construction industry or working with owner managed capital programs. Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Engineering, Construction Management or a related area is required.
