About the Opportunity:
The College of Engineering is seeking an Admissions Coordinator to support the Graduate School of Engineering.

Responsibilities:
Under the supervision of the Director of Admissions, the Admissions Coordinator plays a vital role in managing Graduate School of Engineering Admissions and Recruitment functions where extra leadership and support is needed. The Admissions Coordinator collaborates with faculty and other appropriate staff, designs and manages communications to prospects and applicants, manages data and its processing within and outside the electronic application system. The Admissions Coordinator will proactively analyze, make recommendations for improvement, and will implement new and refine existing admissions operations procedures for optimization. The Admissions Coordinator will respond to escalated prospect, applicant, and admitted student inquiries, will coordinate improvements to system communications, and will also seek to implement improvements to the GSE dynamic inquiry and frequently asked questions (FAQ) system.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree required, MS or MBA preferred such as a graduate degree in higher education administration. At least two years experience with preference given to candidates who have experience in graduate admissions and recruiting. Candidates must demonstrate a professional presence and maturity in dealing with a variety of audiences, external and internal to the university. Excellent interpersonal, oral presentation, and written communication skills are critical for success. Expertise in word processing, spreadsheets, presentation software, and database management. Strong project management/organizational skills with attention to detail, commitment to quality, and ability to balance multiple demands from demanding constituencies. Additional requirements include creativity, positive can-do attitude, flexibility, initiative, ability to function effectively as member of a team in a dynamic and fun work environment, reflective, and high integrity. Responsive to feedback and committed to continuous improvement. Willingness and ability to work evenings and weekends, as required.
