Digital Innovation Manager

About Northeastern:
Founded in 1898, Northeastern is a global research university and the recognized leader in experience-driven lifelong learning. Our world-renowned experiential approach empowers our students, faculty, alumni, and partners to create impact far beyond the confines of discipline, degree, and campus.

Our locations—in Boston; Charlotte, North Carolina; London; Portland, Maine; San Francisco; Seattle; Silicon Valley; Toronto; Vancouver; and the Massachusetts communities of Burlington and Nahant—are nodes in our growing global university system. Through this network, we expand opportunities for flexible, student-centered learning and collaborative, solutions-focused research.

Northeastern's comprehensive array of undergraduate and graduate programs— in a variety of on-campus and online formats—lead to degrees through the doctorate in nine colleges and schools. Among these, we offer more than 195 multi-discipline majors and degrees designed to prepare students for purposeful lives and careers.

About the Opportunity:
Founded in 1922, the D'Amore-McKim School of Business at Northeastern University offers a unique model of business education that purposely blends innovative classroom learning with real-world business application. At the undergraduate level, both the BS in Business Administration and the BS in International Business programs offer students the opportunity to develop into highly motivated business leaders. Graduate students and corporate learners can choose from several different certificate and full-time and part-time MBA and MS programs designed to enable motivated professionals to accelerate their success in business. The school is committed to embedding a global mindset into all of these programs, as well as in its research and outreach activities.

Responsibilities:
The D'Amore-McKim School of Business, Corporate and Professional Learning team serves to provide evidence-based, best-in-class learning experiences to corporate clients at all levels of their organizations; from front-line employees, to C-suite executives. Programs are designed and delivered in all modalities (face-to-face, hybrid, and online) using advanced experiential learning methods and platforms. Learners receive non-degree certificates, badges, and other non-credit bearing micro credentials.

This exciting position will work under the supervision of the Director of Digital Innovation and New Initiatives contributing to the end-to-end pipeline of custom and unbundled digital, scalable content for the up-skilling and reskilling of professionals with the “in-the-flow-of work approach” to learning in mind. The Manager will assist in scoping the corporate learning market to help predict trends, choose methods and technologies, and ultimately shepherd products from the proposal stage, to initiating the creative design sessions, to the client pitch, audience analysis, program conceptualization, resource scoping and staffing, through to the production, post-production, and collection of learner data in order flag issues and oversee product reporting and improvements after launch. The candidate must be able to hold the teams to the highest standards of quality for all the products in their portfolio.

Qualifications:
Required: Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Market Research, Product Management, or a related field, or demonstrated equivalent work experience

Desirable: Master's degree in Business, Marketing, Market Research, Product Management, or a related field, or demonstrated equivalent work experience

  • Fluency & comfort managing and working in a live virtual work and classroom setting
  • High level of proficiency with standard office platforms, and an aptitude to quickly gain proficiency in new platforms
  • Superior written, oral and interpersonal communication skills
  • Curious, active and forward thinking when it comes to gadgetry, technology, and approaches used to facilitate live and asynchronous learning experiences
