Department Summary
The Lundquist College of Business' Portland Programs unit is currently comprised of two graduate-level degree programs: the Oregon Executive MBA Program (OEMBA) and the Sports Product Management Program (SPM) and a series of workshops. This position is based in Portland, Oregon. The slate of offerings is expected to grow in the coming years.

Position Summary
This position provides executive-level administrative support to the Executive Director of the Lundquist College of Business Portland Programs and coordinates various administrative and office functions. The position assists the Executive Director in the management, operations and administration of the Portland Programs office and its oversight of the OEMBA and SPM programs and their associated offerings.

The Executive Assistant is responsible for effectively managing and scheduling the Executive Director's time to ensure maintenance of an extensive meeting schedule.

This position facilitates the communication of information and directives both up and down the Lundquist and Portland Programs' chain of command. The Executive Assistant serves as the primary contact for all matters related to the Executive Director of Portland Programs' schedules and activities.

Minimum Requirements
  • Three years of clerical/secretarial experience which included:
    o one-year at full performance level performing typing, word processing, or other generating of documents; and
    o lead work responsibility or coordination of office procedures.

    Courses or training in Office Occupations or Office Technology may be substituted for up to one year of the clerical/secretarial experience.

    No substitution will be made for the one year at the full performance level.

  • Demonstrated ability to consistently complete assignments and perform functions in a timely manner with minimal errors.

  • Must be able to anticipate the needs of the program and take initiative to act in response to those needs.
  • Proven ability to effectively, continuously and discretely work with confidential and potentially sensitive information.
  • Commitment to working effectively within an increasingly diverse work environment.
  • Able to demonstrate a high degree of ethics, personal integrity, and emotional maturity.
  • Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision.

    Preferred Qualifications
  • Executive-level administrative support within a large, complex organization.
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • At least three years of Administrative Assistant and/or Office Management experience in a professional setting.
  • Two years of progressively responsible experience in a college or university setting.
  • Experience working in a graduate-level academic setting.
  • Familiarity with commonly used campus systems such as Banner, Concur, etc.
